This evening our member and "resident" artist, Jerry Day will launch his painting of the Waratah which will be the subject on the Ship Society's calendar for 2024. Jerry will also be showing a DVD of the search by Emlyn Brown for the Waratah which disappeared without trace in July 1909 on a voyage from Durban to Cape Town.

The Ship Society rooms are in Duncan Road opposite the Cruise Terminal in Cape Town Harbour (ID or driving licence must be shown to the security at the boom). Doors open at 7.30 pm and we start at 8.00 pm. Visitors are very welcome and will pay R30 (cash only please).
