The owner of erven: 6207 and 6208, Lehae, Soweto, plans to develop the sites. The focus of this development, is to consolidate the erven and build a new fire station and training centre, integrated with the existing precinct.

A notice concerning this development, was submitted to PHRA-G and an HIA is currently being prepared on these properties, in terms of section 38 of the National Heritage Resources Act.
