GIfA is a progressive voluntary regional architectural institute, which together with its members is committed to the principle of striving to be an outstanding professional organisation, which upholds the dignity of the profession and its members. It aims to promote excellence in architecture and it seeks to contribute to the enhancement of society and the sustainability of the built environment.
The Institute requires an experienced and dynamic person with excellent promotional and strategic management skills. Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons who enjoy working in the challenging, energetic built environment, and who can operate independently.
The principal role and responsibility of the executive officer is to direct the strategic managerial, administrative, membership and promotional as well as day to day affairs of the Institute and to direct the staff of the Institute, to the interests of the members of our profession and of the Institute; further, to strongly support the president in his or her role as representative of our profession to the community at large and to the profession in a vigorous and purposeful manner.. The executive officer reports directly to the president and committee of the institute
Minimum requirements: Matric (Grade 12), Code 8 Drivers Licence. Experience in the marketing field and / or experience in the built environment is recommended.
