The Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre, in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, the Embassy of Austria and Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung invite you to the official opening of our newest temporary exhibition on 7 September 2017 (18h30 for 19h00).
The main aim of this exhibition is to restore the collective memory and commemorate the victims of the former Nazi German Concentration Camp Gusen, the largest concentration camp of KL Mauthausen – Gusen complex. The entire complex was labelled as a “Grade III” (Stufe III) camp with the toughest conditions and the least chance of survival. Over 35,000 prisoners were murdered there from 27 different nations, with more than half of the murdered inmates from Poland.
Booking is essential by 1 September 2017 to secretary.pretoria@msz.gov.pl or 012-430-2621
Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre | 1 Duncombe Road, Forest Town
