Carnegie Art Gallery is calling on all artists to participate in a heritage themed exhibition. The theme of the exhibition would be ‘My Mirror – Isibuko Sami’ and artworks could depict anything relating to heritage and history and South Africa. All forms of artwork will be acceptable, this includes sculptures, paintings, prints, weaving, fashion art, textile art and beadwork art.
Artists need to be 16 years of age and older to enter. Not more than three works of art can be entered by the same artist. The artwork can not be larger than two-metres in length.
The closing date for entries is August 22, with the official opening of the exhibit taking place on September 15 at 5pm. Entry forms can be collected from Carnegie Art Gallery.
