The Genadendal Museum Youth Forum was launched this on International Museums Day. This initiative was started by Museum manager, Mr Kumresh Chetty who wanted to offer a unique opportunity to young people to learn more about their heritage, while offering an additional creative voice to the development and display of the Genadendal Museum's collection and exhibitions programme.

We invited young people from L.R.Schmidt Primary School and Emil Weder High School to attend the event and recruitment opportunity. In September, the Youth Forum was actively involved in setting up and planning the annual Heritage Day exhibition which focussed on the life of Jan Hus. Current projects include a memory-box project with Emil Weder High School as well as a debating project.
