Over the PAST 20 years Sibudu has provided unique knowledge about our ancestors! It is now, in the PRESENT, needing protection and TLC. It has a great FUTURE as a World Heritage Site! Come and find out about the “Pre-feasibility Study for the Sibudu Cave Experience” from the iLembe District Tourism Strategy. You can also find out about the following:
- What is an OPEN-AIR, INTERACTIVE ‘MUSEUM’ ?
- What hands-on, experiential ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPERIENCES could Sibudu provide?
- How to make the most of Sibudu’s rare SCENIC BEAUTY and to provide experiences in ECOLOGY – protecting indigenous plants, elimination or BIO-CONTROL OF INVASIVE ALIENS
- Encouraging visitors to understand that we ALL have a COMMON ANCESTRY!
We will be show-casing, through demonstrations, videos and slide-shows, a vision of Sibudu as an open air museum and a national treasure!
The event is happening on Saturday 20 August 2016 at the Visitor's Centre of the Durban Botanical Garden. Registration kicks off at 10h00.
