Durbanville Heritage Society invites you to join us for our final talk of 2024: Groot Phesantekraal: Past, Present & Future by André (Oubaas) Brink

Groot Phesantekraal is a historic farm in the Durbanville wine region, where a passionate family blends tradition with innovation to create exceptional, accessible wines. Just minutes from Durbanville and 30 minutes from Cape Town, the farm offers a peaceful retreat with stunning views of vineyards, wheat fields, and nearby wildlife. Explore the farm's rich history through its classic wine range, and enjoy a vibrant atmosphere at the restored mule stable restaurant, serving contemporary dishes paired with their wines.

The farm, granted in 1698 to the colorful Olof Bergh, passed through the Bergh and Louw families before being acquired by Arend Brink in 1897. Originally a transport rider between the diamond and gold fields, Arend settled here, adding to the legacy of this historic property.

André Brink’s presentation will cover the past, present and future of Groot Phesantekraal.
