The Trades Hall is one of Johannesburg's most historically significant buildings (having been the headquarters of the Trade Unions during the 1922 'Rand Revolt'). It is also the only remaining example in the City of the work done by the pioneering architectural firm of Aburrow Treeby. In 1986 it was listed as one of Johannesburg's 100 most important heritage buildings. There have been rumours that something is in the pipeline. Please use this thread to post updates, photos, historical snippets and anything else related to the building.

The building is located at 63 Rissik Street and was completed in 1914. [Originally posted 2013]
