Eight (8) teams, each with a nickname (eg: The Wise Men or The Four Spark Plugs), consisting of two to three people, are welcome to register beforehand for this light-hearted evening of fun. Typically, teams are drawn from businesses, social groups, organisations and groups of individuals.
The event will be based on reference material in the form of photocopies of local historical photographs that will be made available to each team at the start. Some of the photographs appear in Joy Cobern's book Fish Hoek Looking Back. Digital versions of photographs are available for perusal, on request, at the Fish Hoek Valley Museum.
To score points, teams must match a "puzzle piece" to a photograph. The first team to call a positive match to a photograph earns points. Bonus points will be awarded if the team can name the attraction correctly. Be aware of red herrings. Guest of honour and Quizmaster is Desiree Mentor of Sub Council 19, Fish Hoek.
The team prize is made up of sponsored gifts from various Fish Hoek businesses. Sponsored trays of sumptious snacks, glasses of juice and, cappuccino coffee on special, will be available, courtesy Stag Coffee Co and STBB Attorneys. Floral decor and gifts courtesy Floral Abundance of Town Square.
Participants are welcome to bring their own wine/fortification, glasses and cork screws.
Venue: Stag Coffee Co, Recreation Road (off historic Kent's Corner), Fish Hoek.
