It is proposed by Lupides Vita (Pty) Ltd., to develop the properties known as Erf 24 (77 Lynnwood Road), together with Erven R/23 (68 Brooks Street), R/25 (72 Brooks Street), 1/25 (76 Brooks Street), 1/27 (78 Brooks Street), and R/27 (80 Brooks Street), Brooklyn, Pretoria. The development proposal provides for the demolition of the houses and associated structures extant on the properties in question, and the construction of new apartment buildings. The findings and recommendations from an assessment of the potential impact of the proposed development on heritage resources are contained in a report dated 18 October 2016 compiled by Heritage Resources Management in association with Osmond Lange Architects & Planners.

The report and associated information with respect to the proposed development may be viewed at the Public Library, Brooklyn Square (Mall), cnr Veale and Middel Streets, Brooklyn, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (10:00-17:50), Tuesdays and Thursdays (12:00-17:50), and Saturdays (9:00-12:50). Any person who wishes to comment on the findings and recommendations contained in the report are welcome to do so in writing.
