I've bought a thirties house in the Boston area of Bellville, here in the Cape. I'm trying to find a photo of the old traditional "brise soleil" beams they used to put over sunny windows, which cantilevered out from the walls on a concrete extension. I think there were three or four thick pieces of wood placed on top of the cantilevered beam?
