Dear Tulbagh neighbors, property owners in the historic central area and Hennie Taljaard at Witzenberg Municipality.
As you may know, I have been working on the implementation of a Tulbagh heritage area for much of the last decade, so it is with delight that I present to you the first draft of the complete building inventory and its accompanying report that details the cultural significance of central Tulbagh. If you follow this link to my CDQ website, you will see the two links from which you can download the two separate documents. Please review the info on your property and let me know of anything that I can add to it, or any info that you know that I might have missed. Please read the report in conjunction with the inventory as the report will explain much of the concepts used. If after reading both documents and you still have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
The Heritage Foundation will hold a public meeting at the Tulbagh Hotel on Tuesday the 6th November at 5 to 6pm. Any comments received (positive or negative) will be collated into the final document and forwarded to Heritage Western Cape for their consideration.
There is also a link to my thesis, in case you want to read that as well.
