The original Wilhelmi Stable building, located across the river from the Field and Study Centre and below William Nicol Drive, is reputed to be one of the oldest structures in Sandton (+- 1890s). The structure is a ruin which is slowly being reclaimed by nature. A small informal settlement has emerged around the structure in the last few years.
