Phagama Civil and Maintenance has been appointed by the Johannesburg Development Agency (JDA) as the Contractor for THE UPGRADING OF INNER CITY MANAGED LANES ON ELOFF STREET.
The upgrade will be undertaken along Eloff Street between Anderson Street and Plein Street.
The work includes (but is not limited) to the following key components:
- Phase 1 - Entails the milling and replacing of the existing road surface on Eloff Street and appurtenant works which includes the improvement of bell-mouths to facilitate turning movements; and
- Phase 2 – Entails work relating to the managed lanes (i.e. sidewalks improvements, storm water items and street furniture as well as associated works.
The bulk of the work in Phase 1 has been completed, with only the permanent road markings outstanding. The markings are scheduled to be completed by 31 July 2018.
Phase 2 has commenced, and is scheduled to be completed by 04 December 2018. As part of Phase 2, the sidewalks will be improved within the road reserve.
