The Knysna Historical Society has some exciting events coming up. All talks will be held at the Cearn Hall on Leisure Island, starting at 17h30. To minimise overcrowding all talks and outings will be restricted to members and invited guests only; maximum one guest per member. (i.e. family membership = 2 guests , single membership = 1 guest). Speakers may bring guests. Admission is free for members, guests R30 each. Outings may be restricted in numbers on a first-come first-serve basis, for logistical reasons.
Saturday 5 May 2018: (All day outing) A drive-and-walk outing to Storms River following the road built by Thomas Bain with historical talks along the way, led by Philip Caveney. Bring-along picnic lunch at Storms River.
Saturday 26 May: (Afternoon outing) The Knysna Fort Preliminary date for the launch of the Fort Restoration Project to be held on site above the Knysna Provincial Hospital. Held in conjunction with the Knysna Upper Town Community
Tuesday 19 June: Westford Farm & the Edward Bibbey Story. An illustrated talk by Erick and Louise Fourie
