Does anyone know the story behind this beret badge?

I have the War In Angola Portal and part of it features all the old SADF units, including the commandos. An unknown beret badge with a dassie and the inscription SERENUS SED VIGILANS popped up and has collectors guessing. Someone suggested it belonged to the "Lonehill Commando" of which I have been unable to find any traces or mention of.

Does anyone from the community know the story behind the badge? Does anyone know about a 'Lonehill Commando'. Any information is welcome. Below is a photo of the badge in question.
