The Delville Wood memorial in the Company's Garden in Cape Town has received a face lift in a project which began with a thorough clean of the monument and statue. The method of cleaning was good old soap, water, soft brushes and a lot of elbow grease carried out by SANITECH. The steps were the only area that was sandblasted. The second phase will include the refurbishment of the steps as the grouting in some areas has eroded over the years as well as the repair of the water feature and mosaic tiles in the trough.
The Delville Wood Trust in South Africa kindly and generously sponsored the first phase of this extremely important project.
