I am hoping to track down two photographs from the Anglo Boer War. Is there anyone from the community that can assist?
The first is a photograph of a headstone on the grave belonging to a British soldier of the 1st Battalion, Sherwood Foresters, by the name of Edward Spencer. He died of illness on 8 February 1900 and was buried at Sterkstroom.
The second is a photograph of a specimen of the Queen Victoria chocolate box with a gold border instead of the blue one. Only 3000 of this variety were made and all attempts to locate a photograph of one have failed so far – except for a very poor screen grab from a you tube video about the Boer War.
Thank you in advance.
