A guided tour of the enigmatic Coromandel farm, once the model estate of the clothing retail mogul Sydney Press. He imported the architect Marco Zanuso from Italy to do the design and supervision. Zanuso brought out his own construction team of Italian builders and craftspeople. Amongst others the tour will include a visit to the recently refurbished manor house and to the stables, once the home to one of the most expensive race horses in the world.

  • Departing from Kruger Lowveld Chamber of Business and Tourism (KLCBT) at 07:00, meeting at Lydenburg Wimpy (cnr. Voortrekker and Viljoen Street) at 08:30.
  • This will be a morning excursion ending around 14:00 with a picnic lunch at the stables. The road is accessible for all vehicles.
  • Cost: R200 per household/email address for new and non-paid-up members, which will make provision for ten more outings during the course of 2021.
  • If you are in need of a seat or have space in your car to offer, please call Robin Bell at 082 603 0114.
