I recently found out that one of my great grandfathers from Königsberg and then Berlin, Hermann Bergmann, fought on the side of the Boers in the Boer War as a member of the German Freikorps. There is a story in the family that he shot elephants and made a series of postcards while he was there.

I wondered if anyone from the community might have come across his vintage postcards, or could best advise me how to research this?
