On Saturday 2 June the Klerksdorp Museum will be hosting their annual Mampoer Festival at the Museum (corner of Margaretha Prinsloo and Barend Streets, Pienaarsdorp, Klerksdorp). The public are invited to come and taste and also buy a variety of flavours of Mampoer and homemade liqueurs. A large number of food stalls will cater for the hungry while those not inclined towards partaking in mampoer tasting will not be left high and dry either, with tea, coffee and other beverages being for sale as well. A morning’s worth of browsing through the interesting content of a large number of stalls that will be trading during the festival, will also contribute to this being an event worth visiting.
For further information about the Festival, or to book a stall should you want to come and trade your wares, please contact Khabo at 018 487 8900 or email Bert at bertgaffen@museumhistorian.org.za.
