We have had an amazing response for orders for Hidden Johannesburg and we are keeping up with orders for both Hidden Johannesburg and Hidden Cape Town (Alain Proust and Paul Duncan). If you have already placed an order, we shall let you know when your books are ready for collection. 

We are placing our last bulk order for the year in time for early December receipt and Christmas gifts. On 26th November – when Prof Kathy Munro presents ‘The Brave Men of the SS Mendi’ at Northwards - we shall have copies of Black Valour by Norman Clothier (1st edition, paperback, published in 1987) on sale at R230.  This is a special offer as the book is one of those hard to find titles, very seldom seen.  Clothier tells the story of the South African Native Labour Corp in World War 1 and the tragic sinking of the SS Mendi in 1917. If you wish to reserve a copy please let Eira know and we shall keep a copy for you. 

We also have Architectural Conservation, edited by Albrecht Herholdt  (hardcover 2014) available. This is a sizable volume on the major heritage and architectural conversation projects by the top architects in South Africa since 1994. The price is R750.
