Architect Dr JM Gerald Gordon designed and built this house in 1968 and lived here until his death in 2016. The house is suspended on the mountain, which forms the rear wall. A stone staircase is cut into the cliff face, maintaining and integrating the natural habitat. In this unique house and many others he designed on Linksfield Ridge, Gerald blends site and structure, and demonstrates that cost need not limit vision and boldness.
