The Border Historical Society is circulating this invitation to all members, friends and family to attend our Annual Dinner. Our guest speaker will be Normal Hickel on: SA GRAND PRIX HISTORY. It promises to be an interesting talk!

Norman Hickel joined Mercedes-Benz in the early 1970s as a Commercial Vehicle Assembly Process Engineer at the CDA Factory in East London. He also worked at MBSA’s Head Office in Pretoria and spent some time in Germany. After returning to MBSA East London, Norman retired in 2003. He retains an avid interest in the motoring history of South Africa - and East London in particular.
 
The BHS Annual Dinner will take place on: Tuesday, 19 November 2019 at 18h30 for 19h00 at the Hamilton Sports Club, Clevedon Road, Selborne. 

The talk will commence at 19h00 and the dinner at 19h45. The meal will be roast beef, roast chicken, roast potatoes, rice and gravy, two vegetables in season and Malva pudding with custard for dessert.

The cost will R150 per person. A cash bar will be available.
