Aviation enthusiasts and those interested in our history. You can visit the museum at Ysterplaat on Saturday the 10th and 17th December. Entrance is free. If you can afford a small donation, we would be eternally grateful as we depend on generating funds to restore our aircraft and displays at the museum. We are a passionate group of volunteers and depend on your support. We have 15 aircraft, various vehicles, guns etc.

There will be a boerewors braai on each of these Saturdays, the sausage being from a German butcher, Halaal and Vegan plus chocolates, chips, cooldrinks, coffee, tea and hot chocolate for the sweet tooth.  We have awesome t-shirts and caps and other museum memorabilia also on sale and are open from 08h00 till 13h00. The museum closes after the 17th December and reopens on Saturday the 8 January 2023.

We are looking to sign up more volunteers to help with various projects such as running our stall, guiding visitors, doing mechanics and panel beaters who are all welcome to join the Friends of the SAAF Museum, Ysterplaat.
