The City of Johannesburg intends to upgrade and extend the existing SS Mendi memorial located at Avalon Cemetery, Soweto. Any interested or affected party who wishes to view the proposal or comment is invited to submit their comment to Noluthando Cembi (Noluthando.Cembi@gauteng.gov.za) and Oupa Monakhisi (Oupa.Monakhisi@gauteng.gov.za) at the Provincial Heritage Resource Authority. The closing date for comments is 10 June 2017
